Code Examples.LabVIEW.LabVIEW ExamplesThis page contains examples of communicating with FTDI devices throughthe D2XX drivers and FTD2XX.DLL using LabVIEW.Please note that at thistime, FTDI run LabVIEW 7.1. This restricts our LabVIEW examplecompatibility to LabVIEW 7.0 and LabVIEW 7.1.
Hello, For people who like graphical programing and knows LabVIEW you can prove a open source alternative called 'MyOpenLab',. Pros and Cons of LabVIEW: The single biggest advantage of LabVIEW lies in its ability to quickly facilitate taking measurements. The biggest disadvantage of LabVIEW is that it’s a proprietary language. Here’s a list of the main advantages and disadvantages (pros and cons) of LabVIEW.
Developers usingearlier versions of LabVIEW can download screen shots of our LabVIEWexample block diagrams.NOTE: FTDI'smust be installed for the VIs to run.D2XX Function ArchiveMany of the D2XX functions have been interfaced to LabVIEW in this ZIParchive. Eutelsat 28a. The VIs contained in the archive interface to the mostcommon functions used in the D2XX DLL. They can be wired up tolike a standard VI for use with LabVIEW 7.0or later,.To download the D2XX functionlibrary for LabVIEW 7.0 and later.Example 1This example shows how to use FTDI's D2XX drivers to find a device, openit, write data in a byte-array format, read data in a byte-array formatand close the device. To download this example.Example 2This example shows how to use FTDI's D2XX drivers to find a device, openit, write data in string format, read data in string format and closethe device. To download this example.

For people who like graphical programing and knows LabVIEW you can prove a open source alternative called 'MyOpenLab', is Java-based and can be downloaded from the following Link:
http://myopenlab.org
It has version and documentation in Deutsch, English and Spanish, it works for PCs with Linux, MAC and Windows.
It works for Raspberry PI and communication with Arduino boards from the Raspberry USB port is working too!
Here I posted a video of the Communication with Arduino and how to generate a Java executable:
